Phone use causes ADSL disconnect

Every time I use the phone, the adsl disconnects. Is this a common problem, is there something I can do stop it from happening?

This is generally the cause of a not-so-good splitter. If you're using one of the two that come with a PlusNet starter pack, just swap the iffy one for the other one. If the problem persists, you'll need to get youself a far better splitter, such as this one, which does a much better job of filtering the line.

Just to confirm Steve, this is Definately a problem with your splitter, although I doubt it is a problem with the actual splitters themselves, more likely you have them installed incorrectly. Can you tell us where your splitters are plugged in and if you have left any unfiltered extensions?
