Packet Loss

Is the problem gone now though? Having one "Request timed out" is perfectly normal (or so I'm told), it's apparently when a router is set not to respond to ICMP pings.

The problem is out with PN from what I can see after doing a trace, looks like demon.net dont want pinged at all.
Unvalued customer since 2001 funding cheap internet for others / DSL/Fibre house move 24 month regrade from 8th May 2017

The above two traceroutes are two seperate machines eurotrain.

Demon are a company that do not respond to pings. Many of there other machines do not either.

However, the machine your are performing a trace to is alive and responding. Making a telnet connection shows it is alive (though pings fail).

There is nothing PN can do to recify this, as it is all on the demon side of the connection

Yeah i was trying to show the two to show it was just demon and not others.

There is packetloss still there but not has bad, i sort of knew it was out of PN control but i had to ask. :]
