PC and New I-Mac

I have been very happy with my PC + PlusNet-supplied USB Dynamode ADSL modem.

But now my partner has brought a new I-Mac into the house, and wants to muscle in on my broadband connection.

What are my options? I assume I'm going to have buy something...

All help appreciated.

PC and New I-Mac

Hi,

If both the PC and Mac have network cards, then a crossover cable to connect them both and enabling Internet Connection Sharing on the PC (assuming you Windows 98SE or above) is all you need to share the Internet connection.

Alternatively you could go down the route of getting a router to connect both the Mac and PC at the same time.

Thanks, Dave.

They do, indeed, both have network plug'oles, and the PC runs XPPro, so it looks like I'm OK. I shall try the cable route and see how we get on.
