New one in Place of FUP

Ok, Let me get this right :-

1. We will still get the MAXIMUM speed our line will support.

2. There will be no limit/policy on our usage amount per month.

3. We get to choose what connection ratio we want and people on higher ones that are using too much will be asked to move to a lower one.

That all right?

It's not certain yet. It's looking like £21.99 will be the base price for 2Mb Premier, unlimited (as such). But higher speeds are going to be more expensive.

Wheras under the FUP there were visions of 8Mb with a 30Gb limit for £21.99/month, that appears to have now been shattered.

Do you mean are we still getting our free speed upgrades to the max the line can take?

I would very much like to know if my line will be increased from 512k to 1/2mb for free.

For the moment, upgrades upto 2Mb will still be rolled out. So yes, you will still get your free upgrade.

What is unclear, is how much packages will be with the advent of 8mb speeds towards the end of the year. It's not thought that we will get free upgrades to 8Mb, but instead will see a new product range (higher prices) facilitating these speeds.
