New connection

I have just had my line activated and find that everytime I reboot my computer I have to reconnect to Adsl the connection always displays not connected. I am using a US robotics modem and when I run the test utility it always displays the modem disconnected. Is this normal or is my setup wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

William

New connection

Please supply full make/model of the modem you are using and how it connects to your PC. Was this supplied by PlusNet?

Also what WIndows version are you running?

What service did you sign up to: ADSL Home surf, ADSL home etc.

New connection

If it is a USB modem, then, yes, that is to be expected as the connection is only active as long as your computer is on.

New connection

if it is usb and you have to connect via an icon on
your desktop drag it into your startup folder and it will
connect itself on each boot of your pc.
