Micro Filter Problems

Hi,

I think I may be having some problems with my mircofilter; when I plug my filter in the quality of voice line goes down discernably - to such an extent that I can't ring out and get a "number not recognised" message.

When I plug just the telephone into the line all is fine.

I guess this sounds like a filter problem ? Anyone any clues ?

Thanks

I had a similar problem when I first received my Micro Filter (Which I later replaced) also a guy in my office had exactly the same thing (loss of voice quality & poor conenction) quick change of the £7 magic box and all was well & good.

I'm sure it wont be long before 'urban myths' surrounding Micro filters start to appear such as :

1. Leave them in the freezer overnight before installing.

2. If using them with a DECT Digital phone, then wrap them in insulation tape.

As long as the Plus Net Customer support don't tell you either of the above, we should all be fine.

Rgds

RE: Micro Filter Problems

I know that www.dabs.com had a problem with a batch of microfilters, which I believe that they have had rectified.

I bought mine from www.solwise.co.uk.
