May be of some help to slow users...

Browsing thru the ADSLGuide Forum I found this little posting by "helpmeplease"...

"I've just made alterations this very second to my computer.

My ADSL speed test approx 2 mins ago, came out at 36Kbps downstream.

However I've downloaded a program called DRtcp, from

http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks

Make the following alterations, using the program:

Tcp Recieve Window =14180
Dial Up (RAS) MTU = 1458
MTU = 1458

Just restarted my machine and my downstream is up to 468Kbps.
It's been over a month, since I've seen connection speeds like this.

The Plus.net upgrades have got a big role to play in the downstream, as I've previously played with DRTCP and it hasn't made any difference. However, the combination seems to work now. "

I've tried this on mine...my d/l speed never got above 260Kbps....it's now flying at 471Kbps (540 incl overheads).Try it, it may just work for u too!
