MaxDSL regrade complete, upload & download speeds the sa

Hi,

Was regraded on the 19th, 10 days have elapsed and my router still indicates an 8mb connection ( Tongue ) with:
Local Line Atten.: 27.5 dB
Remote Line Atten.: 14.5 dB
Local SNR Margin: 8.5 dB
Remote SNR Margin: 25.0 dB

Problem is upload and download speeds are exactly the same as the the 2mb before the upgrade. Am not suffering with any disconnects or any other problems apart from this

Has there been an upgrade problem?

Thanks in advance Cool

Sometimes the higher sync rate is not recognised by BT, even after 10 days.

You need to raise a ticket, explain you have been on MaxDSL for 12 days, what your sync rate is and that you are still running at 2Mbs and PN will investigate it further.

Ahhhh..... so the BTw network has to adjust a profile or something on a bulk cycle?

Sent the following ticket:

[Additional Information]
Following my previous support ticket I am still experiencing the same issue and 10 days have well elapsed.

The router is displaying an 8mb connection, with the following:
Local Line Atten.: 27.5 dB
Remote Line Atten.: 14.5 dB
Local SNR Margin: 7.5 dB
Remote SNR Margin: 26.0 dB

The speed tests are as follows

28-04-2006 21:37:34 1914.5
28-04-2006 21:33:29 1893.2
26-04-2006 20:06:16 1917.7
24-04-2006 21:09:42 1418.3
24-04-2006 21:08:07 1955.8
23-04-2006 10:40:12 1768.6
20-04-2006 20:19:03 1855.5
20-04-2006 17:19:57 1606.1
20-04-2006 17:12:06 1897.9
19-04-2006 20:40:15 1914.5

I have rebooted the modem etc to no avail, the 8mb connection still produces the same download/upload as the 2mb

Please can you look into this and let me know what the issue is....

Response time - 11hrs
So this was plusnets reply:

Actioned : Dear Mr
It would appear in this occasion that 2mb is the fastest speed that your line will support.

Regards,

Nice one, thanks guys!

So this was my reply:

Assigned : Thanks for replying although I do not agree. With the SNR etc the line is capable is easily within the 4-6 range. I have had a stable 8mb router connection, is it not more probable that BTw have not updated their profile?

The router has only been rebooted once or twice during the assessment period.

Looking at the forums it also seems that there are many people in the same situation who have had plusnet chase up BTw?

What will happen if I break out of the plusnet network and use the BT speed test, my money is on it achieving a much higher download rate!

Is the assessment period 10 days or 10 working days?
At what time cycle do BTw update their BRA profiles?
Have you received a delta report yet?

Please check what speed BT have me set at....

Rebooted the router a couple of times last night, will carry on over the next few days...

Ran a BT speed check, result about 2200! No BRA update I presume...?
