Long reach ADSl; can i upgrade to faster speed?

Has anyone experience of upgrading to faster speed on a long reach line? My home is istuated well beyond the original 6km limit for ADSL but we have had a more than acceptable service since August 04. I am now thinking of trying for the extra speed being offered by plus net. Does anyone know if it wil work at a higher speed?

Thanks

With a very low SNR (too low for my liking) and too high a line attenuation, with current line limits you are unlikely to get anything faster than 512K i'm afraid.

For 1Mb you need a line attenuation of 60dB or less.
