Linux and Voyager 205

Just starting out with Linux.

Have a Voyager 205 connected to Computer i via an Ethernet card, and have had Computer 2 connected via USB, both running Windows.

Have now installed Suse 9.1 on Computer 2 but I am having problems setting up the broadband connection. I wonder if someone could either point me towards a guide or give me some simple instructions. Have googled and searched forums but no joy.

Thank you.

USB support for ADSL modems is almost non-existant in Linux so it's unlikely you will get it working using the USB port on Linux.

What you need to do is swap the connections over so you connect the modem via Ethernet to PC2 (Linux) and via USB to PC 1 (windows). You can either move the netwok card in PC1 -> PC2 (if it's not part of the motherboard) or buy a cheap network card for PC2 for about £5->£10.

Thank you for that.

I`m asking myself whether it`s worth while.
