ICQ/Messenger & Efficient 5861

Has anyone managed to get ICQ/Messenger to work with an Efficient 5861 router (latest firmware)? My Miranda IM (an integrated ICQ/Messenger/Yahoo/etc. client) fails to connect ever since I moved from dial-up to ADSL Home Surf.

TIA

Messenger.

Yes I have an efficient 5861 router/modem and it works fine with ICQ, Teamspeak & MSN messenger. I have not yet sussed how to host any games yet though!! I can join other peoples but can't host!!.. I wish it were as simple as my USB modem....

I'm just dead dumb as regards port forwarding etc..

Same problem here with port forwarding. In the meanwhile, I replaced Miranda with Trillian (another lightweight IM integrator) and it worked fine straight out of the box.

Port forwarding..

Smiley I have now configured my Ports to accept certain access/egress and may now host my own game servers. I am also able to view the complete server list at 'All seeing eye'.. It just took a little patience on my part.. I had to set up each port required for TCP and UDP separately, rather than use the ALL option.
Sorted!!
