Huge speed problems

hello all,

ok so i'm on the bb+ package and getting 64-128k constantly (On a 2meg line).

Will upgrading to 8meg help stop this? (Meaning if i use over 7gig will my speed be locked at ... say, 2 meg instead of 128k?)

Also what are everyone's experiences wih Max dsl? Is it good, bad?

Thanks for help,
bikepump Cheesy

The speed of your connection and your monthly allowance are not connected. If you are on BB+ and you use more than 4GB peak your speeds will be severely restricted.

See https://portal.plus.net/support/broadband/network/bb_plus.shtml

Hi,

It looks like your speeds are restricted because of your peak time usage. I'd suggest taking a look at the link that jelv's posted above and it would probably be best to upgrade to either PAYG or Premier.

At the moment an upgrade to Max wouldn't make a difference, well not until your next billing date, but if you upgrade the account then you would see an increase in speed from Max. The BT estimate for your line is about 5.5Mbps.
