How do my figures look?

While waiting for a 1meg upgrade I thought I would post my line figures.

Are these ok for 1meg?

Thanks for your help.

20db is well below the attuation threshold for 1/2Mb services, so you should get it no problem.

Thanks Philip
I wasnt too sure what they actually graded the line on.....I was looking at the noise figures not attenution.. :roll:

SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) and Attuation are the two most important figures.

Which such a low attuation, you are sure to have a SNR that will qualify for 1 & 2 Mb services.

Just a side issue but wondered how I go about obtaining figures like this on my line. Specifically the attenuation and signal to noise ratio. Have got a Solwise SAR715+ router but cannot find any info in the set up for finding this kind of info.
ThanksSmiley

If you can't find the information from your device, you can request that PlusNet perform a Woosh test (in a link:contact us ticket).

If the info is available from your router, it will be in the WAN status or ADSL status .

For the SAR I think you need to run the command,
( start - run - command ) : telnet 192.168.7.1 or
the IP address of router, then login to router.

Remind me in the mroning, and I will tell you the exact command and the name of the information in question.

It is buried in the inner console, amidst a whole host on irrelivant information.

Thanks for the info, manged to use telnet with the command 'adsl show perf' and got the following results:
Downstream:
Noise margin = 33.0 dB
Attenuation = 38.0 dB
Output Power = 16

Upstream:
Noise margin = 14.0 dB
Attenuation = 20.5 dB
Output Power = 9

Not sure if these are OK or not also if any other commands are available that will give any more useful info. Still learning but finding it interesting along the way, thanks againSmiley
