House move and Migrating broadband

I move house on friday. BT have given me the phone number of the house we're moving to, and that number will go live on friday at 1 minute past noon. The existing house ceases his line at noon.

Am I right in assuming that I can't do anything about the migration until I've moved and the line becomes live? I tried the online migration but it says that that it's invalid CLI.

Is this is the case, is there a number I can call once I'm there? What's quickest - phone or portal?

It seems a pity that I can't get things started in advance.
