Hosting UT2004 and the Origo Routers

I have an Origo ASR-8400 with the latest firmware and I'm finding it totally impossible to host an Unreal Tournament match with it.

Ok so I have a 1Mbit broadband line coming in and my PC is the first computer connected to the router.

The Origo setup page is woefully inadequate and I'm having real trouble getting this to work.

I have set it up under what they call "Virtual Server" to forward the ports given in the Server tutorial of the Unreal Admin website.

For example I have set up this first port:

ID 1
Public Port - Start 7777
Public Port - End 7777
Private Port 80
Port Type UDP
Host IP Address 10.0.0.5

10.0.0.5 is listed elsewhere as being this computers IP on the LAN. I don't know whether I should have this in Host IP Address or my public IP.

The same pattern was followed for the other ports suggested.

I really need some help because I'm getting rather annoyed with this whole thing and might do something stupid and wreck my computer!

What it should be is

ID 1
Public Port - Start 7777
Public Port - End 7779
Private Port 7777
Port Type UDP
Host IP Address 10.0.0.5

I assume your pc is 10.0.0.5?

The Origo cant map multi ports only singles. so add the following to your routers virtual server settings and for you software firewall.

UDP Ports: 7777, 7787, 7788 , 28900
TCP Port 28902

so it looks like:

NB if using a custom server port then the Query port is the Server port +10, e.g. if you change the default 7777 to say 8000 then the query port is now 8010

Also if using the lastest firmware, then disable the Routers firewall as it drops packets it shouldn't, but Don't disable your software firewall.
