Home network

Hello peeps,
Just got connected to plusnet ADSL yesterday Cheesy
I've read the other posts on home networking as it's also new to me. I have a laptop, desktop pc and X-box. The main issue that I have is I would like the laptop to be wirless. I have looked into the Netgear DG824M (which is wireless and has an ADSL modem built in) I'm assuming the X-box would still need to be wired to the desktop pc? And if this is the case would you lose download speeds or game pings?
If there's an easier, or better option I'm all ears.

Cheers

Chris

DG824M includes a 4-port switch so you can plug your X-Box and PC directly into it with standard cat-5 cable. the alternative would be to buy a wireless bridge (about £60) and plug your xbox into the network with that. much cheaper the first way though.
as I own a gamecube not a ps2/xbox and i see no reason to buy any online gamecube stuff yet I am unfamiliar with the ways of getting consoles online through routers so the above info may not be entirely appropriate.
hope it helped anyway Smiley
