I'm having a bit of trouble with my connection speed and wondering if anyone can offer an explanation.
When my MAX was installed there was a fault on the line which meant my maximum stable rate over the initial ten days was set to 2272.
BT have fixed the line fault (a loose connection in the line box round the corner from my house) ad I have been syncing at 7168kbps for 6 days. However my IP profile according to the BT Speedtester is still set at 1000kbps, even though I have been restarting the router once a day as advised by Plus.
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 1000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7168 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 902 kbps
Would the initial MSR of 2272 afect the posibility of achieving download speeds higher than this?
Or does this sound like the dreaded 'stuck bras profile'?
