Help please

Hi - i've ordered a braodband account and my current status reads:

Checking your line
Sorry - we found a problem whilst checking your telephone line.
Our support team will now make more checks and email you as soon as possible.

Any ideas how long this will take and what the problems might be?

Hi,

The order should be moving now and should be active within a week, when it ran the initial checks it found a broadband service already on the line, had you had broadband before on this number (or just got this number and the previous people had broadband)?

We have just moved in and this is a new number, I think the previous owners had braodband but not sure who the supplier was.

Ah, that'll be why. It can sometimes take a few days for the records in all of the various databases at BT to update and show that broadband is no longer on the line when someone moves out. It's shows OK now so there shouldn't be any problems.
