Hardware

Does your isp know/log what hardware you are using to connect with. For instance would they know if you are connecting with a wireless router modem or usb modem?

Hardware

Hi,

Speaking just for us, we don't know nor check what type of hardware you are using so it doesn't matter whether you use USB or wireless or any other hardware. So long as it works with UK DSL it should work fine with us.

Hardware

To answer the question more generally for reference.

It is possible from the MAC address of the ADSL port, to workout what hardware is in use. Down to generic make and model.

Some mainly cable ISP's do lock the MAC address to an account, so if you change your router you have to inform them.
