HELP! Recent email - I dont understand

I recieved the following email from plusnet, and for the life of me I have no ideas what they are telling meHuh!!!

Am I being dense? (dont answer that)

DO I NEED TO CHANGE ANYTHING?

"This email is to notify you that you have successfully passed your billing
date therefore peak-time usage management has been removed from your
service.

To avoid further restrictions to your service in the forthcoming month
please why not consider upgrading to a Broadband Product more suited to
your needs - https://portal.plus.net/upgrade_process.html

Alternatively you could change your usage patterns and schedule large
downloads for off-peak times.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Kind Regards,
PlusNet Customer Support

HELP! Recent email - I dont understand

I have put some more thought to what they have said, and done a search on plusnet.

I believe they are saying that I had exceeded my "peak-time usage" and I was being restricted by management software?

If this is so why did they not write and tell me that I had exceeded this allowance (I cant really see how I have as I only basically surf the internet - and not knowingly downloaded much).

I find this whole thing very odd...

You can check the amount of data transfer by checking the usage in your website settings, also you can use a data transfer application on your pc, a good one is DU meter which you can check at any time, thus removing the need of being put on any type of management. Smiley

If you did not receive an email stating you have been managed then you can safely ignore the one you just got . PN have a long standig problem that causes that email to be sent out in error sometimes which it appears they have still not fixed.
