Getting D-Link router working

Hey there,

Ok the current situation I'm in is that broadband activation tracker page has ticks for everything. However, internet explorer doesn't work although a shareware program I have ( a bit like napster) has started working. When I look at the log details of the router it goes through the usual rig-a-ma-rol stating the correct primary and secondary DNS but then says :

Quote

timeout on response:flan:settings//block
Connection terminated

It then repeats the login steps.

I believe it may be the way I have the router setup for the network, but feel a bit lost with the acronyms used in the router setup menus. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You don't mention the router model number.

Thanks millanduk, but got the problem sussed. It was a case of entering the primary and secondary DNS into the TCP/IP properties on my computer. I just assumed I didn't need to enter these as the router had them in its system log.
