Fault reporter clumsy for just data rate problem

My broadband was upped to 8 meg start of this month.
Bt speed test reports
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 6500 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7616 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1891 kbps

Looks like the limit is at Plus end?
I loose the will to live when faced with the fault finder, I can give you graphs of data snr noise etc for the past year, all I want to do is ask someone if that sound like a limit at the Plus end I dont want to do multiple speed tests on a solid connection. I'm also remotely controlling a pc at home so dissconnecting and connecting locally does not really suit just now.
For my sanity anybody?

Check here. If this is significantly lower than your IP Profile as reported by the BT Speedtester then your modem/router was probably on when you were upgraded and PlusNet weren't sent a delta report by BT as a result.

Raise a ticket citing both and CSC should be able to adjust your profile manually.

Just got the stock reply surely after 15 days of daily manual disconnects it should have changed to more than 2m with this sync rate at SNR of 13.5

G.DMT SHOWTIME 448000 7616000 13.5 20.5

Hi,

I think I've spotted the cause of the problem and made a change on your account. Can you disconnect and reconnect please to allow that change to take effect and then see if it's made any difference?
