Faster than 2Mbit

I think i have asked this before but i ask again any way as the answer i will get will be more up todate. Does Plusnet planned to ask/ get a faster down speed from BT at all? What i mean fast is speed of 4Mbit + . Or does Plusnet just plan to have a 2Mbit and a 256 upload speed as their fastest speed or will they just increase the upload speed to say a 512 at all ?

thanks in advanced

Faster than 2Mbit

PlusNet have always said that they will provide any IPStream products that BT offer, as yet BT do not offer IP Stream higher than 2mb, if they do PlusNet (and other ISPs) will follow suit.

Nildram, on the other hand, are planning a trial whereby a single user can connect with more than one adsl line. At present the arbitrary limit is 4 as this is all that has been tested, but 4 x 2Mbit = 8 Mbit, and there's no reason why this shouldn't go higher later. It'll probably be expensive though...

You'll get four times the upload aswell (less 5% for overheads)
and potentially a lot cheaper than sdsl . It'll be interesting
to see what the performance is like, I can't see it matching
a dedicated line, Nildram will need some powerfull routing .
The technology is already available for users, you can purchase
a dedicated router and link more than one line together,
including from different ISP's, but it's aimed at office use,
not for gamers, so I wonder if Nildram's will be similar.
