Is there any way that +net can check what exchange a punter is on? then if someone is having speed or other probs a check of others useing the same exchange or even better the 50.1 modem (or whatever it is) are having similar problems.

No doubt this is not feasible, but i had to ask. :roll:

In theory this is feasible, sort of... In practice this wouldn't give us too much useful information as exchanges tend to have 3 or 4 DSLAMS, and often it is only one of them that goes faulty. That makes the data we would collect almost worse than useless due to the possibility of "False Positives" - ie customer says "I'm on Sharrow (Thats mine) exchange and it's really slow), to which I would reply, so am I, but it's fine - It MUST be a problem at your end. Not a great example, but do you see the problem?

Now that you have explained it the idea was not so great, but at least i've learnt something. :lol:
