Exchange at full capacity

I'm wanting to get on the broadband wagon but have been told that the network is at full capacity and that BT need to sort some hardware out to upgrade it. Has anyone experienced this sort of delay and how long did it take? Plus.net reckon that it could take several weeks! Can I speed things up by badgering BT? Short answers please as my dial up takes ages to download!

unfortunatly theres really nothing you can do, Its a fault thats in the hands of BTw and with noway of contacting them without going through PN you can't ask them or pay them to speed things up, Whats even more frustating is BTw don't really seem to be in too much of a rush to ever fix things.
