Effect of microfilters on line speed

I've been using the Pn supplied microfilters with no problems at all on 512k since last August.
Would changing to XF-1e's make any difference at all to my line speed when MaxDSL comes in?

My router gives me
Local line atten 46.5 Remote line atten 27.0
Local SNR 27.0 Remote SNR 30.0

Or is it just BT's cabling from the exchange to my house that matters?

It is the BT line length and quality that makes the biggest difference.

A microfilter may improve SNR slightly or reduce dropouts if you're on the limits but it is unlikely to make a differebce to the max speed you can get.

Thank you Peter.
I'll stay as I am then.
