Echo on line

HI,
since we've had broadband, people who ring us complain about the line having an echo and making us hard to understand.
From our end, it's crystal clear.
Any ideas anyone ?

Echo on line

The best thing you can do is run a quick test.

FInd a willing external party, preferable with a BT land line.

Plug a phone into the inner test socket of the master faceplate, illiminating ADSL and any extentions from the line.

Make both in and outgoing test calls, and note if there is any echo.

If there is, report it as a voice fault to BT. If not, then you need to find out which item of equipment (filters, ADSL, phone sky or other device) may be causing it on a trial and error basis.
