Early morning tests=pleasants surprises. Comments welcome

I do so hope that the following is not going to bore everyone. I have read with interest and in awe of those who post the technical stuff here. I have played with settings a bit and run so many speed tests since having adsl. Finally in the early hours of this morning I have some speed results that are very pleasing. How accurate they are I do not know. I sincerely hope that you do not mind that I have copied and pasted them here.
Thank you,
Rog

Section 3: Download Speed Results
Three downloads are tested; one from one of your ISPs servers, one through your Transparent Cache and one through an alterntive cache. This will give you an idea of how capable your connection is. Note: You should take the highest download speed into account.

Telewest blueyonder - 512k service Server Download:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Section 4: Packet Loss
50 Ping Requests are sent to your server. The packet loss is measured by how many of the packets don't bounce back to the client. High packet loss may slow down your connection.
50 packets were sent, 50 bounced back; 0% loss (estimated)
Fantastic - no packets dropped!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Section 5: Transparent Cache Page Fetch Time
This test times how long your Transparent Cache takes to fetch a page from the Internet. Please note that this test is subject to many different parameters and sometimes may not be 100% accurate. This test can be used to show delays when trying to view Internet sites. The timing takes place from the moment the request for the file is sent to the moment the proxy server responds.

Average time taken to retrieve a page: 30ms - Fine, nothing to worry about

Broadband Speed Test - www.vantage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

If you got this far down the posting, as I said earlier, hope you are not bored, but you didnt have to scroll this far. I also ran several tests from American sites and results were most favourable from there too. Here's hoping that things remain this way-I will keep my eyes open for flying pigs at dawn though.... Anyway, whether these results are accurate or not, they have made me happy this morning anyway.

Oh, almost forgot, there is no reason whatsover(in my humble opinion) for a reply to include all of the original posting, as per this example.
This has been mentioned time and time before in the forums. If there is a specific point one is replying to, then it may be relavent to leave that in, surely the rest can be deleted.
Thanks,
Rog

RE: Early morning tests=pleasants surprises. Comments welco

Yes, a good point but one that I think might be partly doomed to failure because of the forum reply page design. This would be a good one for Support to consider as a potential enhancement. I.e. when replying start with a blank entry by default, but with a button somewhere to enable inclusion of the original message.

SUPPORT - A SUGGESTION FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION PLEASE.

After I have clicked on reply, I just highlight text in the box and right click and click delete-seems to work for me, but a blank page as default is a very good suggestion.

A proper php forum would be even better.
