Delays: BT not telling Plusnet ADSL is done

Hi peeps,

I'm on day 2 of having ADSL active on my phone line, but Plusnet don't seem to have been told its been done by BT yet; thus not able to use my ADSL connection; Is there a history of these sort of delay problems;

I know a collegue of mine had this problem but he's not with plusnet.

Do I need to tell Plusnet myself?

Thanks

Dave

Delays: BT not telling Plusnet ADSL is done

I had exactly the same problem when my line was activated some time ago.
The BT engineer that installed it at the exchange, phoned you to say he had just completed the work, but BT never informed plus.net.

Check that you have access using the bt login’s details in this thread;
http://portal.plus.net/central/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9563

Then give customer service a call and ask them to active your line,
you may need to be VERY insistent.

Chilly.

Thanks for you post

I managed to get my router to connect via the BTTest account

Feb 6 12:41:38> Connect: ppp0 {--}

Feb 6 12:41:42> WAN IP address 217.32.40.2
Feb 6 12:41:42> WAN gateway 217.32.40.1

But not with my own

So in theory its ready; so might try giving them a ring and saying come on chaps; do me a favour ;-)

Thanks again for the reply; much appreciated

Your line is now in sync, but that does not mean all the work needed has been performed on yoru line.

If you continue to try and authenticate with your details, you will find you may be able to login after 30 mins. If so, you account will be activated by PlusNet automaticaly at this point. If it doesn't work, then BT have not completed the work.

What date was your activation due by?

This can be found on your ADSL tracker, under the "Connection details" link on the left.. If the date has not passed, there is little you can do.

Once it does pass, contact PlusNet stateing you have received no information from them regarding the ststus of your activation, but your line is in sync.

I would advise not sending this until tuesday though, so that any work that may be needed is completed on Monday.
