Change from PAYG to Plus

At the moment if I have understood it right, on PAYG 2Mb speed as I am now, I will automatically get a speed free upgrade to 8Mb if my line can take it, but if I switch now to Plus at the same 2Mb speed for £14.99..will I still get a free upgrade to 8Mb? I only ask because at the moment 8Mb is costing £34.99pm

Hmmmm.....I only really surf a lot and email....what are the downsides to Broadband Plus, Will 50:1 contention against 30:1 make any difference, or a non static IP?...or am I missing something here?

If you only surf and e-mail you shouldn't see much difference but downloading via ftp will be a bit slower and P2P a lot slower. I suppose the question is what is your present monthly usage. As long as it is under 5GB you shouldn't have any problems. Remember with BB+ you get timeouts unless you disable it in your member centre
