Can anybody recommend a good ADSL router ?

Can anybody recommend a good ADSL router which has the following:

Ethernet connection
Built in modem
Router
Built in Swicth or hub (more than 2 ports)
Hardware firewall
.....maybe can connect with my PS2
.....Possible even wireless (but not essential to keep cost down)

I have been lookin at the Linksys WAG54G but little expensive 4 me at £100

Also was it the router modem like that plus net send u (I know it only has 1 port so no good 4 me)

I thought you already asked something similar in this thread.

If you want all you are asking for then you will need to pay a bit more than you are expecting. Proper firewalls don't come cheap neither does wireless and 4 ports and a modem.

The Netgear DG834G has everything you need including wireless or use the DG834 non-wireless version which is cheaper (£84 on ebuyer).

D-Link do a good range also, just check their web site - DSL-504 non-wireless and DSL-604+ wireless..

Basically you get what you pay for - pay less and you get less features which is sometimes a false economy. Maybe save up a bit longer and get a better product.

There are several other threads from members asking similar questions so look around for additional advice.

I personally have the D-link DSL 504, and would recommend it to anyone. Once you upgrade the firmware to the latest version, it runs beautifully (allows MSN file sharing, etc) and has a lot of good features.

All routers should support file sharing - it's a bug if they don't!

As Thomas said, every router should support it (though maybe with some minor settings changed) - my router crashed out every time I tried to do that sort of thing. But upgrading the firmware fixed it, and now I'm very happy with the router.
