Can I do 56K dialup thru ADSL modem?

Just to confirm the above I still have my 56k Modem in the machine as well as access via ADSL.
It is causing no problems and I do use it to send fax messages and as a lifeboat to connect should ADSL go down.

Can I do 56K dialup thru ADSL modem?

Weird questions maybe...

Do you need to keep your old 56K modem to dialup when ADSL is down or does the ADSL modem understand V.90 lingo?

Can you have an ADSL modem and a V.90 modem in seperate PCI slots or will they conflict even if both ports are not open together?

Hi,

An ADSL modem won't be able to connect up as a 56k modem.

So, if you want to be able to connect up on dial-up in the future you would need to keep the old modem.

You shouldn't have a problem installing both 56k and ADSL PCI modems on the same PC at the same time.
