Can BT Voyager 100 cope with 8MB

I've now received my upgrade earlier on today for Max whats-it-called broadband. The connection tray says I am connected at 7.6 Mbps. I'm using my old modem still (BT Voyager 100). My upload speed has gone up to 45 Kb/Sec or so, but download speed is still on 2 Mbps speed, just wondered if that is my modem, or perhaps its peak time limit, or something else?

Thanks. Smiley

Can BT Voyager 100 cope with 8MB

Hi

I am at present still using an old "voyager 100" usb modem.
I sync between 7 & 7.6 MB
I have a stable_rate of 6000Kbps
And I regularly download between 5 & 5.5 Mbps

I could maybe eek a little more out of it with a good router, but I am fine with the throughput of my modem as is to be honest. Smiley

If you have only just been Max'd you will need to go through the 10 day (or something) BT testing period before you know where you stand properly speed wise.
Be patient and see how it pans out.

I synced at 7.6mb and still got 2mbs speeds for first 10 days then halfway through the tenth day it went up to max speeds, so nothing to worry about I would say.
