CRC Errors and Errored Seconds.

Hi all,

Are the attached errors anything to be concerned about? I've just moved house and changed to PN, and I'm sure I never used to get these, although I did live a lot nearer to the exchange (albeit a different one).

CRC Errors and Errored Seconds.

30 seconds of every hour is spent in a state that is considered an error.

This is pretty low in terms of the effect it will cause, as it's more than likely these errors will not occur concurrently.

It is however quite high compared to most installations.

One possible cause of this is a SNR of 16.5. Whilst not very low, it is approaching the zone where you may experiance visable symptoms.

Are you actualy seeing anything wrong?
Have you made sure your filter configuration is OK?

CRC Errors and Errored Seconds.

Thanks for the reply.

I haven't actually noticed anything wrong, and my setup is filter>10 metre RJ-11 cable>zoom x4 router/modem. It's a fairly decent filter too, a Fujitsu FDX-100.

It's the same set up I had at my last house, though obviously I can't compare like for like, I know that none of my equipment can really be to blame. I know that I'm about 3.5 k from the exchange. Just wondered 'cos they seem quite high considering, like you say the SNR isn't that low.
