Okay, so I get an email yesterday (Sunday the 22nd) from Plusnet saying they're gonna take the monthly direct debit bill from me on the 24th, for the period covering Jan22-Feb21, like they have done for the last 6 months or so.

Then this evening, I get an email from them again. Saying that the time for my payment has passed, and we now have no peak-time access until we pay the bill What the hell's going on? They tell me they *know* they're not taking the payment til the 24th, and then turn round and say "sorry no, too late to pay now".

What should I do? Pay the blasted bill now and cancel the direct debit, or leave it as it is?
