Billing Date & MAX Adsl

As my billing date is the 2nd of the month does that mean I'll have to wait a whole month before I get upgraded? Cry

The MaxDSL upgrades are not based on your billing date, so possibly you will be waiting a lot longer.

The priory order is;

The customers, who have been paying over the odds for an 8M connection before it was available.

Followed by the rest, in order that they joint Plus.Net to reward loyalty.

The whole process is expected to take BTw about 6 months to complete.

Also note that MaxDSL upgrades are independent of the prodcut upgrade, and because of your billing date you won't be placed on the new product until May however you will may get onto MaxDSL before then it just depends on Btw and when your regrade order is submitted

The Waiting Period

Oh gloom Cry
I use a Netgear DG834 - do I need to be checking anything in it on a daily (I still live in hope  ) or weekly basis to see if any line upgrade has happened, or what :?:

Billing Date & MAX Adsl

one of many many many posts pointing this out on PN forums and on AG forums, give me 2mins to dig it out!

EDIT: here is the thread that I started regarding it and james has confirmed it about half way down the 1st page and clarified it on the 2nd!

No change if billed 01 or 02/04 and no notification either!

Absolutely fabulous (with vast quantities of irony thrown in) !!

So despite the e-mail from Plus.Net saying the account would be "refreshed"
to the new scheme on the next billing date (making my overnight traffic "free"
on my PAYG a/c) the Comms Team fails to tell all customers, there's not a
thought to post to the plusnet.service.* groups about the decision to *not*
update those accounts billed on 01/04 and 02/04 and what usage I've had
between 0000 and 0800 is going to come from my quota.

I just thought they had delayed implementing the VMBU tool for some a/c
types (which was posted in p.s.c-f) but looks like a further month for those
who *should* have been getting overnight for free.

An apology for the lack of information would be appreciated, James, but
make it by e-mail, to all those who have not had their accounts "refreshed"
because many will not see it if posted here on the portal, on ADSLguide,
or even in the p.s.* newsgroups. They're the ones who could rightly be
expecting a change to their service, and now are screwed by changes
brought about through no fault of theirs, and have been left out of the loop!
