since being upgraded to BT IPStream Max earlier this week if i don't unplug my phone my speeds are from as low as 54 kbpm however after un plugging the phone i can achive 4000 kbpm plus. i'm using two siemens DECT phones with one base station, i did have the base near the PC but is know 30ft away (or about 9 meters for you youngsters) the only things on the phone line are the phone and Netgear router/modem both filtered. are there better standards of filters avaliable or would a different phone be the answer, if so any suggestions as to which and why?

NTE5 faceplace is the best solution although this is not something BT condones (meaning if you connect the wires wrong I dont think they will help out hehe). Although it is pretty easy to do (2/3 wires for each line depending on whether you connect the ring-wire) you can buy them here

The best filters are XF-1e supposebly, purchasable from:
http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=1652

Or the cheapest solution is disconnecting the ring-wire which has been found to be the most common problem with interference on the line.

A tutorial can be found here:

Thats what I did aswell. Got a friend of my dads in from BT who explained about the NTE5. Showed us what to do, its pretty simple really, and we went on our way then heh.
