My BT installed Westel modem is, according to system checks, working OK. But it won't connect to Plusnet, even tho I have done everything Plusnet told me to do in their phone advice. Most frustrating, and up to now a waste of money. Any suggestions?
Check that the modem is set up to dial the right number. When I had mine installed the BT man said it wasn't actually dialling a number so just putting a space in the number box would be good enough. He was wrong. You must enter 0, 38 as the number. If you haven't already done that, try it.
