BT Voyager 205 router

I have just joined Plusnet and logged onto new adsl account yesterday. Am very pleased with service and speed etc so far. My only concern is that the BT router that's been supplied seems to run very hot. It's making the computer desk surface it stands on hot too.

Are these things supposed to heat up like? It seems like a potential safety hazard to me and I'm concerned about leaving it running for any length of time, especially if I'm not in the room.

I'm a recent joiner with the same router. It runs warm like yours.

There are many articles on the web and in these Forums, and all suggest that the heat is not normally a problem.

You might like to browse this excellent site:

for a heap of information.
