BT Voyager 105 ADSL ok for Plusnet?

Hi all. My daughter has aquirred a BT Voyager 105 ADSL USB modem off of her cousin, who got it from AOL. Would this be suitable for using with a different ISP such as Plusnet?

Thanks. The only drivers I can find are an AOL setup utility. I suppose that would that install all that AOL crud on her PC?

i expect so.
try BT Voyager Downloads
Don't plug the modem in to the computer until you've installd the drivers.
It should work fine with PN, but my old laptop used to hang and reboot regularly using one and when i switched to a router that stopped, so it might not be "unconditionally stable"

Alternatively you can find the Voyager drivers on Plusnet itself: http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/help_and_setup/setup_guides/?link=suptop5_general1

I'm sure the BT Voyager is not compatible with MaxDSL as theres been afew people who have problems using that modem with MaxDSL including my brother.
I heard it dosn't like speeds over 4-5meg.

there is a driver "patch" for speed which seems to increase some people's.
a forum search should turn up the link for it
