BT Central Plus Products

I have just seen over at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/3041-bt-wholesale-confirms-may-price-changes.html that with the new pricing for May, there are now extra fees involved. Out of interest what are the benefits of these fees. How will the pricing affect us here at plusnet?

Any ideas - why have these fees anyway?!? Thanks in advance.

I suggest you wait for the product refresh which is due around the middle of this month which I believe will take into account the price changes BT have made.

I doubt PN will tell you any changes before that happens.

Yes thats a good point, just really curious why they need the fee (BT)?

The usual tactics with any company (BT wholesale in this case) or government... give some savings on one side and try to recover those savings on the other.

Its also an incentive for both ISPs and customers to migrate to another ISP rather than go through the cease and re-provide route as the cost of a cease may be passed on by ISPs to the customer.

Migrating in so much easier now anyway so the number who need to cease to get away from an ISP will be much less since the change to the migration rules so it should not really be a problem.
