Alternative DNS servers?

I sometimes get error messages saying that a url I've just been viewing cannot be found and then nothing can be found - with the exception sometimes of PN itself. This is a daily occurence and although I'd like to try a non-PN DNS server. Has anyone any details of any?

Try PNs alternate DNS servers then:

212.159.6.9
212.159.6.10

you will currently be using:

212.159.13.49
212.159.13.50

Sometimes manually configuring them in reverse can help (primary 13.50 & secondary 13.49) or manually set the first 2 or do as I do and have all 4 configured in windows..

Also some firewalls need them entered as a trusted IP to work reliably i.e. ZoneAlarm.

Alternative DNS servers?

Didn't realise you could use another ISPs DNS server whilst connected to plusnet and vice versa. Does that work?

It works for me - a DNS is a DNS, PlusNet can't stop you and most ISP's don't block access from outside their network.

Note that 212.159.11.150 and 212.159.13.150 will be removed at the end of the year.
