Advice needed please

I have changed to a wireless router and have much better connections however my Bt speed test was:

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 1000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 3488 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 910 kbps

This may be a result of my old router. My question is i know i have to get higher than 1000 kbps for my speed to re sync will this automatically be detected or do i have to keep re booting my router until i achieve higher than 1000 kbps ? Or am i talking out of my .........Thanks

Hi,

Looks like the line is now sync'ing at 3488kbps, so as long as it stays like that for 3-5 days the throughput rate (IP profile) will automatically increase.

There shouldn't be need to do anything but it will need a reboot to take effect when the IP profile increases so probably best to reboot once a day until it increases.
