Activation

I have been advised that an engineer will activate my account on a certain day - does this involve a visit to me or is this done remotely? Just need to work out if I need to arrange for someone to be home when this is done. Thanks

As far as I remember, you won't need to be at home as I don't think a home visit is required.

Hi there and welcome to the forums.

Normally activation is carried out remotely, by BT at your exchange without the need for an engineer visit to your premises.

In the unlikely event that an onsite visit is required, you will be notified of this and a suitable date and time arranged.
