Activation period

I am on day 6 of my activation period (should be 7-10 days according to the traker) and it seems like my ADSL line has gone active - my DSL 504 is flashing away merrily and I have entered all the settings on my router. It is connecting and recieving an IP and DNS setting. The problem is I can't ping out to an external address. The router is acting as a DNS proxy (but even pinging using IP address fails) the clients are all using the router for gateway DHCP etc and all appears fine apart from not being able to get out.

Is this because I shouldnt officially be active yet or is it a config issue my end?

your line may seem active but its not!!!!!

It says about this on the ADSL tracker. I would guess that you router is negotiating with the ATM hardware in the exchange but the connection isn't established or being routed to the outside world.
