ATTENTION all 3Com 612 Router Owners ... its been discontinu

Dear ADSL buyers and PlusNet,

For the bargain price of over £400 a year, you can purchase:
- a faulty router that loses sync and never automatically connects
- 2 faulty switches that drop your ADSL line whenever the phone is used
- an unreliable ADSL connection

Amazingly, people have been having problems with this series of router at the beginning of OCTOBER! Its now December and still no solution!

For some of you wondering why PlusNet are still shipping this router out to people, it possible they might have bought a big bunch of them on the cheap and have to get rid of them somehow.

Come on PlusNet,

I'm willing to give you a chance before I cancel. The people on the phone have been very nice, the people writing answers to my tickets most helpful. However I want a solution to this router and phone splitter problem.

Supplying new customers with a dodgy router really is pushing it too far. To be honest I'm wondering if its illegal to knowingly supply a discontinued faulty product.

As agreed when signing up, I want:
1) A working 'always-on' ADSL router.
2) High quality phone splitters.

I've fulfilled my side of the deal by giving you almost £170 so far, now I want the goods!

I urge anyone with this kind of problem to raise a ticket as soon as possible.

I wonder what trading standards, would say about this?

Personally i've have to purchase a different make, as my business need's a good connection. I used to have the old frog/USB modem but upgraded. I had a better connection with that!!!!
