ADSL connectivity

I have never used ADSL but I would be interested to know whether the benefits are limited to "always on" connection and to very fast upload and download speeds.

Presumably ADSL will have no impact on the response times from third party servers - one is presumably still timed out when the PlusNet mail server is busy, or other web pages are busy. Am I correct ? Or does ASDL routing mean that the third party servers on an ADSL connection are not so busy ?

RE: ADSL connectivity

You still can experience busy third-party servers which are slow to respond... but you are right, download speeds are much better and always on connectivity means that you can keep an eye on your shares in real time!

RE: ADSL connectivity

One of the major benefits of ADSL is that your telephone line is still availabe to use as normal.
It's the equivelent of having a second line just for the internet.
