5861 router

Hello Forum,

I'm having problem with my 5861 router once or twice a week my coonection disconnects and i allways have to reboot the router in order to reconnect it

please see log below ,,

Why does it not auto connectHuh??

5861 router

I don't know that router but does it have an idle timeout option where you can set a time (usually minutes) after which the link will be dropped if not activity is seen. If so set it to 0 so it never disconnects.

You may also want to check the manufacturers website to see if an updated firware version is available.

Also check out the troubleshooting guide on the customer support web page and the wireing and troubleshooting tutorials in the tutorials and FAQs forum to make sure things are configured and wired up correctly.

Could the drop coinside with an incoming or outgoing call? in which case it could be an unfiltered phone or a bad ADSL filter. If you router does not connect through a ADSL filter try that.
