The Broadband Home 2Mb is provided on a 50:1 contention (20:1 only until the BT product is finalised).

The Broadband home product also has the Spam and Anti-virus included.

you mean the 20-1 it says it is will be 50-1 later?
or am i confused?
is this a better or worse option

IIRC, it does not say 20:1 at all, or even 50:1, because of the very reason it will change once the new product is complete.

Where did you find it saying 20:1?

Well, that info is incorrect, but has been updated at damned last.

I get the feeling they they have had to give at least that info for now, to get it listed.

I am sure a PlusNet bod will be able to answer this one officialy for you though.

Yes, the more info link on the main product page takes you to http://www.plus.net/info2/residential/info_broadband_home.html where details can be found at the bottom.

It's not as clear as it used to be but that's the best they have.

2 mbps from 1mbps

Philip explained this point earlier.

In pratice, the contention ratio is less of an issue now, with Capacity Based Charging (CBC) methods being used which allows the ISP to control the contention rather than BT. Also in practice BT and not getting anywhere near the contention limits imposed and in many paces (except in the high population density areas) there is little difference between 20:1 and 50:1 anyway

2 mbps from 1mbps

I have no idea as it is your choice. Remember the homeworker Pro is for business use, the broadband home is for residential use and as your use is not changing, PN may still consider the homeworker pro product is the one you should still be on.

I would however wait and see what the new homeworker pro products based on CBC will be like. I would also suggest you wait a bit longer for the regrade fees to reduce which should happen in a few days.
