RE: 155 MB fat pipe update for PlusNet

While I'm very happy for you that your speed (latency) is good clearly it is not the case for evryone. I can asure people (I)have more to do than write e-m's to PLusnet. Have a look at some of the speeds from others that are "moaning" and compare those to yours. I think you will find that for the most part people's tracert's are often into 3 significant figures!! and that is ten times slower than your ave 32ms. I having been one of the moaners have just posted a congrat's to PlusNet though. Cred, where credit due etc. Cheeri. Aaaa....Haaaaa.

hi you may be getting fast pings but there was a problem yesterday evening plusnet acknowledged this and did get it fixed there was no problem with data transfer rates but when you try to play a fps game it becomes impossible if your ping goes over 150.on a jolt uk server last night which is normally around 50 it had reached 400 at one point.you may use your adsl for data transfers I but some of us do use it primarily for gaming you have all had your gripes about slow transfer rates as last month or two so when there is a speed issue regarding server response times please let us have our gripe.cheers stevie ps well done plusnet for getting it sorted as soon as you could

RE: 155 MB fat pipe update for PlusNet

OK everyone, well i was on quite early yesterday morning, i couldn't wait to see if the long awaited 'fat pipe' was going to work.
and it did, i connect first time every time now, before that i was same as everyone else trying to connect for many many times, plus my pings were same as yourselves and i couldn't use very much of anything b/c of the dropouts all the time, but honestly everything has imporoved to normal now for me, i just thought some ppl were moaning at not going fast enough again, some ppl are like this, they will never be happy.. even if the service was 1mb they still want it faster!.

Well thats what i was thiking at first, it was late, i didn't read all posts here at the time, but i have now!.. and i can't inderstand why you are all still having problems, do you think it might be BT realated more than PlusNet.. since my connection is ok now?.
If PlusNet still had a problem i'd be slow aswell, like i was before.. maybe it's BT, depending on where you live, i know BT will be doing work soon on the Fujisu cards at the exchanges, from sept 1st to sept 10th alot of exchanges are getting fixed.
My exchange my due to be done on the 4th sep. 2am-6am.

Someone posted a URL for all this work here last week, if you look it's on one of the threads.

I'll do a few more pings for you to compare before i go:
